5 Amazing Places to Rent a Designer Handbag

Not everyone is able to just go buy a new $5,000 handbag at the drop of a dime.  While every handbag lover would love to fill their closets with the most luxurious handbags, it is just an addiction that’s too expensive for most of us to persist.

I recently stumbled upon a series handbag rental service; Of course, I was taken back. Thinking who in their right might would rent a handbag. But the internet is full of these types of companies. Just like shopping online for other items, you can temporary own your very own luxury handbag without paying hundreds of thousands of dollars.

What I ultimately realized is that renting a bag, would give forward the opportunity to see, feel, touch, wear, and possibly fall in love with a bag before without actually buying it.

In addition to the senses, we can also accessory any of our outfits with a designer bag on every occasion. So, you want to try that brand-new Chanel bag, sure rent it before you buy it.  Renting designer handbags is a much better option, especially if your pocketbook doesn’t rain dollars.

How about renting a designer dress for a minimal cost?

Below are the Top 5 Places to Rent a Bag:

Launched in 2009, this website allows you to rent designer dresses for roughly 15% of its retail price. Expanding to the world of rental handbags and accessories in 2010, Rent the Runway continues to add even more items to their inventory.

Today you can rent anything from designer sunglasses that retail over $500 dollars to that vary handbag you have been eyeing for the last year.

Website: BagBorrowOrSteal.com

Founded in 2004 and was one of the first “Netflix for handbags” in the niche. It’s gone through a name change in 2008 and reverted back to the cheeky name that customers refuse to let go of.

Made famous by Sex and the City (movie) where Jennifer Hudson, as Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant, is able to carry designer high-end bags on rental, the brand was introduced to the vast Sex and the City audience.  Bag, Borrow, or Steal also allow their subscriber to rent to own all their handbags.

Currently, Bag Borrow or Steal allows you to: rent luxury brand bags for an unlimited time, buy pristine, vintage, pre-loved bags and sell your pre-loved handbags, accessories, and clothing.

Rental prices start at just $50/month for mid-designer labels like Tory Burch and MICHAEL Michael Kors and go up to around $500 – $600/month for high-end purses from Chanel and Louis Vuitton.  I think renting a Louis Vuitton for $500 is a steal considering buying them at cost would cost thousands.

Bag, Borrow or Steal offers photos of the exact bag, blemishes and all for just for your FYI. Some of the major brands include Chanel, Fendi, Gucci, and Hermès. Aside from renting designer handbags, the company also buys used designer bags, accessories, and shoes.
